1.the name of God in the Old Testament of the Bible
1.You, fathers, do not be irritating your children, but go on bringing them up in the discipline and mental-regulating of Jehovah.
你们做父亲的，不要激怒儿女，只要照耶和华的意思管教他们，纠正他们的思想，把他们抚养成人。
2.And I, says Jehovah, will be to her a wall of fire all around, and will be the glory in her midst.
耶和华说：我要作耶路撒冷四围的火城，并要作其中的荣耀。
3.and he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as Jehovah spake by Moses.
按手在他头上，嘱咐他，是照耶和华藉摩西所说的话。
4.And Chaldea shall be a prey: all that prey upon her shall be satisfied, saith Jehovah.
迦勒底必成为掠物；凡掳掠他的都必心满意足。这是耶和华说的。
5.You who have escaped the sword, Go and do not stand still; Remember Jehovah from afar, And let Jerusalem come up in your heart.
你们逃脱了刀剑的人要快走，不要站住；要在远方记念耶和华，心中追想耶路撒冷。
6.And I will strengthen them in Jehovah; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith Jehovah.
我必使他们倚靠我，得以坚固；一举一动必奉我的名。这是耶和华说的。
7.For neither Israel or Judah is forsaken By his God, by Jehovah of hosts; But their land is full of guilt Against the Holy One of Israel.
以色列或犹大，并没有被他的神万军之耶和华遗弃；然而他们的地充满了违背以色列圣者的罪。
8.I said, I shall not see Jehovah, [even] Jehovah in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.
我说：我必不得见耶和华，就是在活人之地不见耶和华；我与世上的居民不再见面。
9.And Jehovah God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place.
耶和华神使那人沉睡，他就睡了，于是取了他的一条肋骨，又把肉在原处合起来。
10.Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of His way, Before His works of old.
耶和华在祂造化的起头，在太初造作万物之先，就有了我。
