2.不可燃气体,在湿空气中生成浓密的白烟。反应性极强,与金属、有机物等发生激烈反应。在-100℃时为无色液体,在-160℃时为白色固体。易溶于浓硫酸、浓硝酸、煤油、苯、三氯甲烷、四氯化碳、二硫化碳和硝基苯等有机溶剂,溶于水而且分解成硼酸和氟硼酸,并放出热量。 冷的三氟化硼可腐蚀玻璃,潮湿的三氟化硼具有强腐蚀性,可腐蚀多种金属。有毒害。
